Welcome to the website of Allied Community Services and its subsidiaries: Allied Rehabilitation Centers and Allied Community Resources. We have been proudly supporting individuals with intellectual and other disabilities since 1964. We were originally established as the Greater Enfield ARC, and we became "The Allied Group" in 1999. Today we serve more than 5,000 people throughout Connecticut and have more than 200 employees working in our offices in Enfield and East Windsor, CT, as well as in our community-based residences. Our operating budget is approximately $10 million and we continue to experience growth in our programs and services.
Allied Community Services and its subsidiaries are nonprofit, tax exempt organizations.
Allied Community Services, our parent corporation, provides management and administration for the Allied Group. Allied Rehabilitation Centers (ARC) provides an array of supports and services to people with disabilities which are primarily funded through contracts with the CT Department of Developmental Services (DDS). We also operate several businesses that deliver valuable services to the local community and provide employment opportunities to our participants. Allied Community Resources (ACR) provides fiscal intermediary services to the CT Department of Social Services (DSS) for Medicaid Waiver and Pilot programs and serves as a vendor fiscal agent for self-directed and waiver programs administered by the CT DDS and the Alabama Department of Senior Services.
The staff at Allied is committed to providing individualized supports and services that promote membership, contribution and valued social roles in the community for people with intellectual and other disabilities. Our efforts are designed to maximize independence, expand community and interpersonal connections, and respect the dignity and choice of every individual we serve. The core value that guides our organization is that we are all enriched when we welcome people with disabilities into our homes, our lives and our communities.
